Nation Beat Announces Animation Contest

World music and animation aren't necessarily a classic pairing, but Nation Beat aren't necessarily a classic world music band. They're a new favorite of mine, though. With their African-meets-Brazilian-meets-Americana-meets-Electronica fusion music, they are Brooklyn to the core. So their animation contest (a promotion for their upcoming album, Legends of the Preacher) fits right in with their edgy, fun vibe. If you're an animator, or you know someone who is, why not enter? There are pre-made downloadable character models available at the Modiba Records Website, as well as free downloads of sample tracks for you to use in your short-form video.
