2010's incarnation of globalFEST, an annual world music festival held every January in New York City, was, by all accounts, a fantastic night of musical discovery. If you, like me, didn't get to attend, head on over to NPR's All Songs Considered, where you can listen to live recordings of several songs (with more to come, I'm told). I've listened to most of them so far, and I'm particularly enjoying the song "Suzy" from French group Caravan Palace, who have a distinctly Paris-chic sound.
Did you make it to globalFEST 2010? If so, did you discover anything new and fabulous? Leave a comment and let us know!

Very interesting blog, thanks! Keep up the great work!
I didn´t make it to the globalFEST 2010, unfortunately, but would like to let you know about one of my favorite artists today: Catya Maré, who recently won both the Billboard World Song Contest and Hollywood Music in Media Award 2009.
She doesn´t create music but Soulful Happiness…
Check her out sometime…
