Steve Riley performed at Festival International 2011 with his band, the Mamou Playboys. The band performed on Scene Chevron just as the sun was setting, seemingly directly into their eyes... ouch! Still, it was a stellar and highly danceable performance. Known as one of Cajun Music's most inventive and talented accordion players, Riley is in a number of different well-known bands, including Cajun stars Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, swamp pop supergroup Lil Band o' Gold, local dancehall favorites High Performance, and Grammy-nominated Racines.
