The 25th Anniversary of Festival International de Louisiane was -- as it always is -- a five-day extravaganza of music, food, art, and humanity, set in the beautiful downtown of Lafayette, Louisiana, in the heart of Cajun country. A free festival that brings together music from around the world (with a francophone bent) with the tremendous local offerings of a vibrant traditional and contemporary musical community, Festival International is truly one of the world's most remarkable festivals. If you made it out this year, you know what an extraordinary festival the 2011 edition was. If you didn't, I hope we'll be seeing you out there sometime soon!
