Pascal Gemme, the fiddle player in the Quebecois band Genticorum, is known not only for his vibrant, expressive fiddling, but also for his encyclopedic memory for (and obsessive collecting of) traditional fiddle tunes of Quebec. Quebecois music has its roots in the traditional Celtic music of Northern France, and it's traditional for fiddlers to sit down while they play, and tap along a rhythm with their feet. This foot-tapping is called podorythmie, and the fiddler taps through every single song.
